Dear 51³Ô¹Ï Community, 

We wanted to make you aware that the 51³Ô¹Ï Police Department (51³Ô¹ÏPD) has been notified by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) that they are currently investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, November 7 at approximately 5 p.m. in the 3900 block of Nebraska Ave. NW. 

If you witness suspicious activity, please call the 51³Ô¹Ï Police Department at (202) 885-3636 or 911 for the Metropolitan Police Department if you are off campus. 

General Safety Tips

  • Program the University Police Department number into your cell phone for emergencies: (202) 885-3636. Call 911 if you are off campus.  
  • ¶Ù´Ç·É²Ô±ô´Ç²¹»åÌý using your 51³Ô¹Ï username and password.
  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Use lighted walkways and thoroughfares.
  • Travel in groups at night whenever possible, especially when walking.
  • Identify safe havens along your paths of travel where you can seek shelter, if needed.
  • Use the 51³Ô¹Ï shuttle service whenever possible.

Additionally, the University Police provides escorts, twenty-four hours a day/seven days a week, for community members to and from university-owned property.
