51³Ô¹Ï faculty, staff, and students are eligible to obtain a free subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (O365) through our campus site-licensing agreement. The O365 software exists in both desktop and online versions. Please see eligibility requirements below.

The full suite of desktop software is available to either:

• Full time students
• Faculty or staff who are assigned an 51³Ô¹Ï computer

All 51³Ô¹Ï account holders may use the online/web apps, which are accessible through an internet browser.

Get Started with Office 365

1. Open your web browser and go to .
2. Log in using your 51³Ô¹Ï email address in the format of
   userid@american.edu and your my51³Ô¹Ï portal password.
3. From the O365 Portal landing page, launch any of the available web applications to get started. To download the O365 desktop applications, follow these .

Please Note: Microsoft stipulates that the subscription to Office 365 will expire once you graduate or leave 51³Ô¹Ï.
