Bio
With a graduate degree in clinical counseling and a doctorate in education, Raymond has held student affairs roles in previous institutions including Yale College, Simmons University, Tufts University, and Brandeis University. He spearheaded the peer liaison network as assistant dean of Yale College, collaborating closely with the residential colleagues, cultural centers, and multiple constituencies across the university. At Simmons University, he held the associate dean of student life role serving nontraditional student populations; his position further created and maintained the graduate student affairs support infrastructure, which included addressing the needs of online and hybrid student populations. Raymond was the senior associate dean of student affairs at Tufts University, deputy to the chief student affairs officer. He managed multiple areas such as conduct, case management, disabilities services, identify-based centers, and crisis management, and established a new student affairs division at the School for the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts. Most recently, Dr. Ou was the chief student affairs officer at Brandeis University, overseeing multiple areas including graduate student affairs, dean of students, communications, career services, and many others. He is the current vice president of student affairs at 51勛圖, a role has held since July 2023. He provides strategic leadership with the focus on issues of retention, belonging, and community-building.
