What is Pivot?

Pivot is a web-based research tool that allows the user to identify funding opportunities and get regular funding updates. Pivot is the most comprehensive, editorially maintained database of funding opportunities. The platform allows you to save searches, track and share opportunities, and search profiles.

How to Create a Pivot Account

  • Go to Pivot's register page.
  • Use your 51³Ô¹Ï email address to register.
  • Check for an e-mail verification from Pivot.

What is Foundation Directory Online?

Foundation Directory Online (FDO), is the most comprehensive prospect research tool for fundraisers, with over 189,000+ grantmaker profiles. By combining exhaustive data with intuitive search functionality and informative data visualizations, FDO delivers the information you need to reach your fundraising goals quickly and efficiently.

How do I Access FDO?

  1. In order to access FDO, you must be within the university's IP range or connected to the VPN.
  2. FDO is available through the university library. Click on on the library's homepage and then click on the letter F.
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page until you see Foundation Directory Online Professional.
  4. Click on the link and you will be directed to the FDO platform.
