Geneva Workshops on WIPO Processes

PIJIP is co-organizing two workshops in Geneva on matters being considered by the World Intellectual Property Organization. On January 27 and 28, PIJIP is hosting a workshop of the of stakeholder organizations who support international norm setting on copyright limitations and exceptions. On January 29 and 30, PIJIP, the South Centre and the Mission of Indonesia will co-host a 2-day retreat of the Like-Minded Countries group of delegations. In each workshop, PIJIP’s Geneva Center project will provide technical and legal assistance to aid public interest stakeholders and developing country governments to better participate in international intellectual property law making. A prime agenda item in both workshops will be the potential future of the WIPO Broadcast Treaty, which is the next international instrument that WIPO may move toward a binding treaty drafting process
