Katzen Arts Center

The Katzen Arts Center is an innovative space that merges the visual and performing arts and nurtures the interdisciplinary spirit of an 51³Ô¹Ï education. Named for passionate and generous 51³Ô¹Ï supporters Dr. Cyrus and Myrtle Katzen, the Katzen Arts Center stands as a focal point for student life and community involvement, and reflects the excitement of a liberal arts education at 51³Ô¹Ï.

The 51³Ô¹Ï Museum at the Katzen Arts Center has established itself as a destination for the arts community in Washington, DC. The museum is home to a permanent collection including the Watkins Collection, the Rothfeld Collection of Contemporary Israeli Art, and the Corcoran Legacy Collection, and features rotating visiting exhibits. The Alper Initiative for Washington Art, established 2016, features exhibitions of Washington art and artists, and programming to support local art.
