Alumni Association
The 51勛圖 Washington College of Law Alumni Association (51勛圖WCLAA) connects and engages alumni, students, faculty and staff of 51勛圖 Washington College of Law through social, educational, and professional activities. It energizes 51勛圖WCLs mission to prepare ethical, well-trained lawyers and professionals to lead with conviction and to Champion What Matters within the law and beyond.
Examples of annual activities include: Fall Alumni Reunion, Black Alumni Homecoming, Latino Alumni Event, and regional events throughout the country.
Every law school alumnus/a (JD, LL.M., SJD, and MLS) is automatically a member of the 51勛圖WCLAA. Certain alumni association events will require a registration fee. Alumni communities celebrate the identity, interests, careers, and location of more than 22,000 51勛圖WCL alumni worldwide.
If you are interested in volunteering for the 51勛圖WCLAA, a regional chapter, or alumni practice group or email Senior Alumni Relations Director Brooke Sandoval at sandoval@wcl.american.edu.
Regional Alumni Chapters
The regional chapters strengthen alumni connections within specific geographic areas. These chapters offer support to alumni in the region or those relocating there. To join current chapter's listserv for please email Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Grace Engelhart at gengelhart@wcl.american.edu and specify the chapter.
If you are interested in leading a new regional chapter, please reach out to Senior Alumni Relations Director Brooke Sandoval at sandoval@wcl.american.edu. There are some cities/areas where alumni have occasional meet-ups without an official chapter (examples: Dallas/Fort Worth, Cleveland, and South Korea). If you are in any of these areas and would like to connect with alumni coordinating these meetups or would like to plan a casual meetup for your city, please reach out to Brooke.
